Timeless Perfection. A rare genuine one of a kind Art Deco Ruby Ring. This antique ruby ring takes my breath away!

Here, for sale for first time since it's manufacture we have a gorgeous genuine Art Deco hand made one of a kind fine gem quality natural ruby and diamond ring in 18K white gold.

The detail here is just superb. The setting is entirely traditionally handmade, the sides of the ruby and diamond cluster are decorated with intricate filigree details so the ring looks beautiful from every angle it is viewed. The color contrast of the red of the rubies and the white gold and sparkly white diamond accents is breathtaking. There are lovely geometric details combined with feminine motifs that make this custom designed handmade Art Deco ring very special indeed.

Nice to see, the rubies are completely unheated and untreated as mother nature made them. So too, the old cut diamond accents are untreated and natural.

The diamonds are E/F/G color VS clarity and weigh 0.04 carats as estimated in the setting.

The rubies weigh 0.84 carats as estimated in the setting.

This makes the total ruby and diamond weight 0.88 carats.

Inside the shank it is marked 18K meaning solid 18 karat white gold this confirmed too by testing. The ring weighs approximately 4.81 grams.

This exceptional untreated natural ruby ring is sizable within a range and is currently a 5 1/4 US.

This ring makes an ideal engagement or anniversary ring as it has a low profile of just 1/4" (6mm) perfect for everyday wear. The ruby and diamond set section of the ring measures 9/16" wide across the finger and sits 5/16" along the finger (15mm x 8mm).

This is a genuine Art Deco ring, it is not a reproduction.

It is in lovely condition, being ready to gift or to wear as you choose.

An Appraisal Report is included with your purchase.

We will ship in a presentation box for safe keeping.

Unfortunately, in the last two decades many rubies seen in modern jewelry and rubies set as replacements in vintage and antique jewelry have had the color induced by high temperature heating in chemicals such as beryllium. This is called diffusion treatment and includes surface diffusion, bulk diffusion, lattice diffusion and deep diffusion. There are also sapphires treated heavily with beryllium treatment to imitate rubies. In recent years rubies have been clarity enhanced by filling any fissures or cracks with molten lead glass, sometimes the glass is colored as well, with time the filler falls out or goes cloudy ruining the stone. Polymer resins can be used in a similar way. Oftentimes this clarity enhancement may appear on certificates as the note(s) “residues” or “minor residues” or perhaps “foreign substance”. Colored coatings can be applied to the back of a ruby. These treatments are unacceptable and such treated stones are of very low value. We do not sell rubies with these treatments.

The photos form part of the description. Like all colored stones there is a color variation that occurs in different lighting conditions both inside but also outside, even the time of day can make the color of a stone appear a little different. We do our best to show colors as we see them. Color perception is highly individual and some people can perceive more colors than others, also colors can appear somewhat different on different screens and devices due to variations in screen hardware and device display settings.
