Here we have an exceptional antique Chinese Jin Dynasty cizhou tiger pillow dating from 1115AD to 1234AD.

The pillow is a larger example measuring approximately 11" wide by 7 1/2" deep by 5 5/8" tall.

It is in beautiful condition. There is a loose piece of clay inside from the original firing. There are no chips or damage.

The fluid painting in dark brown slip on the top of the pillow is lively and very beautiful as is the highly stylized tiger forming the base of this ancient pillow.
